“The ǿմý Humanities Journal” of the National University of ǿմý Academy (ǿմý) has won in the Ministry of Education and Science's competition

“The ǿմý Humanities Journal” of the National University of ǿմý Academy (ǿմý) has won in the Ministry of Education and Science's competition for providing financial support to Ukraine's Category A scholarly peer-reviewed publications for 2026–2027.

This competition is the first institutional mechanism introduced by the Ministry of Education and Science aimed at systematically supporting Ukrainian academic journals, focusing on quality and international integration.

Only publications indexed in the bibliometric databases Scopus and/or Web of Science were eligible to participate. Our journal, the "ǿմý Humanities Journal," which is one of three ǿմý journals included in the "A" category of the List of Ukrainian scholarly peer-reviewed publications, was among the winners.

A special competition committee was formed to evaluate the submissions, considering factors such as:

  • The impact factor of the publication;
  • Adherence to principles of academic integrity;
  • Compliance with editorial policy and publication ethics;
  • Inclusion in the Directory of Open Access Journals (DOAJ);
  • Free publication of Ukrainian scholars.

"An immense success for our entire editorial team, the international editorial board, the Faculty of Humanities, and ǿմý itself — which has been and continues to be one of the leaders in contemporary transformational processes in Ukrainian scholarly periodicals!" stated Editor-in-Chief Marina Tkachuk.

The ǿմý Humanities Journal addresses issues related to literature, history, and philosophy, with an emphasis on Central, Eastern European, and Ukrainian studies. The journal has an international editorial board affiliated with institutions such as Harvard University (USA), Yale University (USA), University of Alberta (Canada), University of Milan (Italy), The University of Wroclaw (Poland), University of New South Wales (Australia), among others, and maintains a broad readership and author base worldwide.

We sincerely thank the entire ǿմý community for their efforts and contributions to the development of this publication. Special thanks go to Ukrainian and international benefactors, including alumni of ǿմý!

This recognition affirms the high quality of our work and underscores the importance of the humanities at ǿմý. We congratulate the ǿմý Humanities Journal team on this significant achievement and thank everyone who contributed to this success!
